Susannah Pearse - Words

Susannah Pearse received her MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from the Tisch School of the Arts, NYU in 2005.  She has had musicals performed in both Britain and America, including Farm at Greenwich Theatre and Sherlock Holmes, first produced by the Mighty Fin in London, then by Clear Space Productions in Delaware and most recently at NYMF where it was the recipient of the Theatre for the American Musical Award.  She also co-wrote Once Upon a Time in Narcissia which was given the award for best new musical at the CJ Showcase in Korea..

Rebecca Applin - Music

Rebecca studied Music at Cambridge University and at the Royal College of Music.  She has been composing for theatre professionally and working as a musical director for the past five years.  As well as composing new musicals, Rebecca has composed music for plays, ballet, film and physical theatre. 
Theatre credits include:  ARABIAN NIGHTS (Watford Palace Theatre); several commissions at the Nuffield Theatre Southampton including HERCULES, THE ODYSSEY, Brecht LEHERSTUCK, FABLE and FLY AWAY PARVEL FLY AWAY PIOTR; A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Theatre Royal Bath); MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and TWELFTH NIGHT (RJ Williamson company, coaching Wayne Sleep as Feste); five years as resident composer for Full House Theatre Company, composing music for new versions of THE SECRETS OF SHERWOOD, THE LITTLE MATCH GIRL, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, PINOCCHIO, HANSEL AND GRETEL and RAPUNZEL, performed in Bedford and on national tour; four years as resident composer for White Horse Theatre Company, Germany composing for nearly thirty plays over the years. 
Rebecca has much experience of working with youth theatre including Youth Music Theatre UK, Scottish Youth Theatre, Hertfordshire Youth Theatre; Hampshire Youth Theatre.  As musical director she has worked with Carl Davis on his WIND IN THE WILLOWS at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre and also on TOMMY with Whizz Kids Theatre Company. 
Her film scores include for two award winning films - SOLO (winner of the audience award at the Beijing film festival) and THE END OF THE PARTY (winner of the audience award at both the Rome and Cambridge Film festivals).
Rebecca is the tutor of the Compose and New Musical course at Benslow Music Trust.




The Director

Lotte Wakeham - Director

Directing credits include Rain, Steam and Speed (Etcetera Theatre), Dido, Queen of Carthage (Little Hawks Theatre Company), Play on Words (winner of the Cameron Mackintosh New Writing Festival 2007), The Threepenny Opera (Oxford Playhouse), Into the Woods (Oxford Playhouse), Travesties (O’Reilly Theatre), Woman in Mind (Burton Taylor Theatre) and The Bar (rehearsed reading, Baron's Court Theatre). Lotte will be directing a Shakespeare Festival for the Rose Theatre, Kingston later this
year.
As assistant director: The Norman Conquests trilogy (Old Vic), Rita (Royal Opera House), Fiddler on the Roof (national tour), Voithia! (English Touring Opera), The Dreaming (National Youth Music Theatre) and rehearsed readings for Mercury Musical Development (Her Majesty's Theatre).
Lotte is a member of the Young Vic Genesis Directors Project and an associate member of Old Vic New Voices.  She read English at Keble College, Oxford.


The Producer

ClaireBoughton-Producer

Claire Broughton is a Producer only of material which makes her giggle. This fit the bill and she was on board like a shot. Previous productions include ‘Frankenstein and The Sharks of Doom’ at Oxford House, London and various short films.


The Musical Director

ChrisWarner - Musical Director

Chris Warner divides his time between composing, musical direction and sound engineering. Musical Direction credits include LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and LET DOWN YOUR HAIR (Full House Theatre Company), and THE WALPOLE ORANGE (also by Rebecca Applin). Youth theatre credits include scores and songs for THE WITCHES and TREASURE ISLAND (Broadlands Theatre Group). Other composing credits include scores for THE ODYSSEY and GRADGRIND (Icon Touring Theatre), THE STRANGE CASE OF DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE (Coterie Theatre, Kansas) and THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY (Ironduke Theatre Company). Film scores include LE CLOWN MARCHE D’UNE BARRE (Blindeye Films) and a series of films for the 2012 Olympics. As a recording engineer Chris has worked on albums for a number of artists and bands including Bassist David Harvey and Jazz Singer Michael L. Roberts.
