WATCH THIS SPACE FOR MORE DETAILS SOON......

"Sex and the Village" has been one of the first shows at the exciting new festival of musical theatre at the George Square Theatres during the Edinburgh Festival 2008.

A new musical comedy about love, life and power cuts. Chloe has lived in the farming village of Chatterley all her life and dreams of a day that she can leave to go to the city and become a real journalist. For now, she practises by writing her column, Sex and the Village, in the Chatterley Gazette. The life of the village threatens to be turned upside down on the arrival of new weekenders from London, Katie and Charlie, in search of the Good Life. Katie longs to throw herself into living the country chic lifestyle; Chloe idolises the newcomers from the city; and Farmer Ken, Chloe's grandfather, is determined to get rid of them. Perhaps a few ghost stories and power cuts will help them move along back to London. With Katie comes the arrival of dreamboat Oscar, leading Chloe to pose a new question in her column - Is sex in the village as exciting as sex in the city? With a choice between Oscar and the devoted farmhand Robert, maybe it is. Sex and the Village sits somewhere between Sex and the City and the Vicar of Dibley... but closer to Dibley if we're honest.
